Go back to the late 1990s in Japan and you'd be seeing the Okwahn everywhere. From 1998 through to 2002 this model saw a handful of incredible colourways, including the one pictured above. Like many hiking shoes, these were actually designed to be resoled yet incredibly lightweight, they were designed as approach shoes and meant to be worn in a rocky environments. In 2012 Nathan VanHook updated the silhouette, dubbed the Okwahn II, which improved on any prior issues around grip and stability. This pair remains in a good, worn condition.
