The Plateau was released alongside the Air Phassad and the ACG Spindrift which was designed by Bill Cass, now creative director at Merrell. All three were designed as affordable performance trail running shoes. They all featured a heavily lugged outsole unit, most likely in response to Nike's G-Tek technology not actually being that grippy, especially on wet trails. The Plateau features A reinforced heel and toe bumper, 

articulated and paneled mudguards on the both lateral and medial sides, a taped velcro closure lace shroud and a full-length Phylon midsole with an encapsulated heel Air unit. It's similar to the ACG Wailuku. These are pretty much brand new, and in a great colourway. See policies before purchase, enquire via email with further queries.
