ACG Air Spindrift [2002]

The Spindrift was released alongside the Air Phassad and the Air Plateau, all three were designed as affordable performance trail running shoes. They all featured a heavily lugged outsole unit, most likely in response to Nike's G-Tek technology not actually being that grippy, especially on wet trails. This silhouette was designed by Bill Cass, now creative director at Merrell. The shiny, lightly padded upper was inspired by sleeping bags. They feature a semi-collapsable heel with adjustable strap - not too dissimilar from the Pocket Knife. These are pretty much brand new, and in a lesser-seen purple/cream colourway.
