Despite having no resemblance to the original Kukini this model was the successor, coming out 3 years later. The main issue with the original Kukini was that water wasn’t able to drain away easily - an issue brought to attention by triathlete Mark Allen as he explained that triathletes often pour water on their heads to cool them down resulting in pools of water swilling in their shoes. The later 2003 model featured a perforated insole and thoughtfully designed midsole which allowed water to drain easily. They were an easy to use and efficient triathlon shoe, featuring Velcro closure and big eyelets to aid putting them on quickly whilst racing. The advertising for this model was one of Nike’s best ever adverts. This pair is in a vintage condition, with general wear with slight separation on the toes. This pair will not suffer from crumbling, but please consider their age before deciding to wear them. Very rare lime green womens colourway! One of our favourite ever Nike models, truly unlike any other Nike model.
