Air Max 90 Current Huarache [2009]

In 2009, Nike introduced a hybrid version of the Air Max 90, blending the Hatfield designed runner with another one of his creations, the Air Huarache, resulting in the Air Max 90 Current Huarache. This “Black/Black‑Neutral Grey” version combined black micro suede over a tonal mesh base, maintaining a sleek murdered out palette, whilst the crisp Neutral Grey laces and lining offered a subtle contrast. Underfoot, the familiar Air Max midsole preserved its responsive heel cushioning, while the neoprene inner sleeve from the Huarache provided a snug, sock-like fit. This was iconic, archival runner DNA, restructured in to what's easily one of the best hybrids Nike has ever done.
