Air Playerposite [2002]

The Playerposite was marketed as one of the more affordable Nike's to feature their Foamposite technology. It had a futuristic design and this black/yellow/silver colourway highlights that nicely. At a retail price of $80 these featured a fully molded, double lasted, lightweight, synthetic upper with hidden eyestays, a lightweight Phylon midsole with an encapsulated air unit in the heel and an exposed TPU mid-foot shank with a solid rubber outsole. These remain in good vintage condition, with some wear and light marks.
