The Air Presto came from the innovative minds of Tobie Hatfield, Kevin Hoffer and Bob Mevar. The first prototype came to life in 1996 and it was introduced to the public in 2000. It was around this time that Nike was experimenting with printed meshes, think Air Max Craze, Air Streak Ventulus and if you really know your stuff, the Air Max City Tour pack from 2001. The Lava released in two iterations, the one pictured and also a rarer pair with black cages/toe caps. We haven't seen a pair of these in such good condition in a very long time... Absolute classic and one of the first pairs I ever had in my collection. Read policies before purchase.
