The Air Streak Ekiden is an iconic and legendary example of early, lightweight and high-tech running shoes designed by legendary designer Steven Smith for Japanese precision runners. The name Ekiden comes from the Japanese week-long relay race named Hakone Ekiden. These feature a breathable mesh upper with synthetic suede and leather overlays, with perforated detailing on the forefoot and the lateral/medial sides of the shoe. Our favourite aspect is the silver thread running through the laces and the contrast powder-blue outsole. Vintage condition. See policies before purchase.
