Air Zoom 'Kaizer Chiefs' [2005]

In 2005 Nike released the 'World Football' pack - surprisingly information on this pack is fairly scarce. What we do know is that it was a deep dive into global football from all corners of the globe, "uncovering stories that celebrate what makes the world's game the beautiful game". Nike chose 7 teams and released shoes inspired by each of them. Previously, we've had the Republica de la Boca Zoom FCs in stock, we also house New York Americans Zoom FC in our archive. This particular pair however is a serious step above the rest, the materials, panelling and sole tooling are all nothing short of remarkable. Particularly fond of the dart detailing on the tongue, adding shape for the Swoosh to protrude more. Alongside this model, the Kaizer Cheifs (a club hailing from South Africa), got a second model, which resembles a Zoom FC with some slight alterations, albeit in the same cracked leather. A seriously beautiful example of footwear design, made even better by the project they represent and the mystery that surrounds them. Brand new, with the extras pictured - no box. Pure obscurity.
