City Knife 2 Mid [2003]

This was the second foldable 'City Knife' silhouette designed by legendary Nike designer Kirsten Schambra Stevens, who also designed the TN7, Air Max LTD and Silver Fish among others. In her words: " The Nike City Knife II was the second generation of foldable shoes, this time readdressing how a shoe was made by minimizing the number of parts. Inspired by the geometry and articulations found in origami, the shoe was constructed only of three parts: the outsole, upper and removable insole. Leaving out the midsole, foams, heel counters, laces, etc. made the shoe collapsible, compact and more cost effective to manufacture. The City Knife 2 was ideal for travel as a carry-on slipper or extra pair of shoes." A true piece of Nike innovation history, remaining in good vintage condition. See policies before purchase.
