Considered Tiempo [2005]

Nike Considered was Nike’s first attempt at a sustainable product line, it featured a range of new models, reworked pre-existing models and a clothing line. The footwear consisted of minimal parts, vegetable dyed leathers, interlocking sole components, hemp lacing features and stitched soles. All of the materials were sourced withing a 200-mile radius of Nike’s Thailand factories. When these shoes were first shown to Michael Jordan he said from then on he wanted all Jordans to be made that way! The Nike Tiempo was a football shoe designed for playing on hard surfaces making it a bit of a random choice for the Considered line, yet it was executed perfectly. This model is one of the lesser seen silhouettes from Nike Considered, they feature a simple brown leather upper with contrast red stitch details, a laser engraved tick and the Tiempo’s signature tongue flap, keeping the laces covered and out of the way. Not a pair that comes up for sale too often, a Considered grail for sure. Vintage condition.
