Free Run 2 Woven [2013]

The lineage of Nike Free technology began in 2004, spearheaded by Tobie Hatfield and Eric Avar. After observing Stanford athletes training barefoot they developed a deeply siped, segmented midsole to mimic natural motion. The Free Run 2 Woven arrived in 2013, as a stylised evolution of Hatfield and Avar's 'Free' technology. Designed by Mark Miner, the sneaker features a suede cage and a breathable woven textile upper that replaced the standard mesh. The upper drew inspiration from the organic skeletal structure of the foot, aiming for a deconstructed look that bridged the gap between elite running and streetwear. This tech, and silhouette, are both very much due a comeback. Good condition, will need replacement insoles.
